Oh scootaloo.. you are happy for all the wrong reasons and you dont even realize it.
*Artist notes*
Whew! this took some time to get out the door. I pulled out all my aritistic skills for this one because I wanted it to be the best I could make it. (within a reasonalble amount of time)
I was going for one of three audience (reader) reactions for this piece.
1: Hopefully most readers will empathize with Applebloom and think I'm the worst person in the world and hate me. If I get that reaction I will smile because I've done a good job picking the poses of the character.
2: The second reaction is reserved for the more demented audience memebers. Who, will most likely, laugh.
3: Readers are laughing, but feel guilty.
I wanted Applebloom to look absoultly pathectic and helpless at the end, but still in shock. All of this is very sudden for her.
For any of you confused about Scootaloo's last statement please reffer to this previous comic here. [link]
I know there arn't many posts, I'm still figuring this Tumblr thing out, but I hopefully will soon be updating and communicating with followers there as well. I may even do a thing to host contest of what idea I should make next.
There are several Easter Eggs hidden in this comic. Can you find them all? :-P
*EDIT* thanks EQD! even if the link doesnt work right -.-
Okay, I do like the art style here. Scootaloo in the last panel looks a little weird, but apart from that everything looks very nice. And it's not like this is a bad joke. The pacing is actually very nice... it's just that there isn't a lot of originality here. And that's why I gave you a low score for originality. I've just seen this joke done so many times before. The joke about Applebloom going against the grain within the apple family (usually by not being obsessed with apples,) and then Applejack abusing her because of it. It was admittedly kind of funny in 2011, but now it's just old. Not a bad piece of art, just not one with a lot of creativity or artistic merit. Hope this helps.
Honestly I found this hilarious. Everything about this is just laugh out loud funny. I mean really, I bet each and every brony has asked themselves what would they even eat in Ponyville if you didn't like apples.
I really like the use of exaggerated expressions with each of the characters and also the style in which it has been drawn. I enjoyed the look of your art as it quite visually stunning, especially the second to last panel (at which point I was already laughing). I can't wait to see what else you turn out over the next year.
Considering all the time Applebloom has eaten apples when she doesn't like it ........... Applejack would have been cooler with her little sister , even if
@ Panel #7: You give your grandma a heart attack, send your little Sister to an orphanage, and all because she said she didn't like apples!? Even by parody standards that's out of character!
I'm somewhere between #1 and #3 (and I don't mean #2), I couldn't quite work up a laugh for this, I do sympathize for Apple Bloom, but I like your creative style too much to dislike you. ^_^
